The session “Preserving Focus in the Age of Distraction” was conducted at Royal College for students of Grades 9 and 10, along with the teaching faculty. The event witnessed an enthusiastic participation of 130 students. The interactive session explored the growing challenge of maintaining focus in today’s fast-paced, distraction-filled world. Participants gained valuable insights into:
- Fundamental Understanding: The psychology of distractions and how they impact learning and life in large
- To take responsibility: Whether distraction is a choice or an inevitable part of modern life.
- Root Cause Analysis: Why focus has become increasingly rare in the digital age.
- Solutions from an Islamic perspective: Key strategy to preserve and strengthen attention amidst constant noise and information overload.
The session encouraged self-reflection, discussion, and practical application of focus-enhancing techniques suitable for students and educators alike. Overall, it was a meaningful and engaging experience that emphasized the importance of ” meaning” as a shield against every distraction.
