Feeding the poor in the modern digital age has found a unique way with this project. It is an upcoming project of PSF Mumbai, which connects the donors and the hungry people. People with crowd funding donate money to fill the basket with the required food items which remains accessible to the poor and the hungry. In this way, the poor are fed seeking the help of donors all across the city who are willing to donate money or food. It is a unique project, which is likely to start soon in Mumbai City under PSF Mumbai.
Neki Basket Demo launch Survey concluded
13 Feb. 2022. Jogeshwari W( Khadan chawl) : PSF Mumbai conducted a short survey for deciding beneficiaries of Project Neki Basket owned by IRCT to be run by PSF Mumbai. In sha Allah
PSF Members from Western chapter joined the survey. Survey started with short Tazkir of Br. Ab Qadeer by famous Hadith about running for the cause of feeding poor ( miskeen) and widows is better than etekaf at Masjid Nabvi. (Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:“It is more beloved to me that I walk with my brother to fulfill his need than I stay secluded in [optional] i’tikaf in the Masjid of Madinah for a month”
Prophet (SAW) once said: “The one who looks after and works for a widow and for a poor person is like a warrior fighting for Allah’s cause.”

The team met number of needy families who lives in very small congested houses, where walking even side ways was difficult. Family had lot of members with minimal income. Cancer,paralysed patients. Families with mentally retired children etc.
As a token 7 families were given One month Ration consisting of basic daily items. Alhamdulillah

A successful demo run at Jogeshwari Mumbai will be rolled out throughout Maharashtra by IRCT.
