Eid-Ul-Adha and the Philosophy of Sacrifice

This Eid-ul-Adha, Internalize the Learning & get ready for higher sacrifice in Allah’s path – Time, Skills, Wealth. Time to Introspect for us

With the 10 sacred days Dhul Hijjah starting, PSF Mumbai organized an Online Webinar to help understand the significance of these days, historical learning from the sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim A.S. and his son Ismail A.S. and modern day implementation of the learning in our lives.

The guest speaker who adorned the virtual stage was Adv. Faiz Syed, Founder and President, IRC Aurangabad.

After tilawah of the Holy Quran, Adv. Faiz Syed addressed the audience in his unique style, sharing the importance of the first 10 days of the holy month, briefly describing the life of Ibrahim A.S., events leading to the testing of Hazrat Ibrahim A.S. and how he and his son excelled & were ultimately rewarded for their sacrifice. He reiterated that the message of Eid-ul-Adha is not only animal sacrifice but to enable us to sacrifice our time, skills & wealth where Allah intends, to help others and this can be achieved by remembering blessings of Allah upon us.

The session was followed by Q&A where the audience asked very pertinent questions and, as was expected, the Speaker mesmerized one and all with his eloquent responses.

May Allah make us from those who internalize the key learning from this Festival of Sacrifice, accept our endeavours in his path and grant us a seat in Paradise along with his beloved Prophets.
